Privacy Policy

How ChicagoShining handles information across its website and authorized social-publishing services.

This Privacy Policy describes how ChicagoShining, operated by Joseph Logan Digital (“ChicagoShining,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit chicagoshining.com, contact us, or authorize a supported social media account to connect with our publishing tools.

Summary: We collect only information reasonably needed to operate the website, respond to messages, and provide authorized publishing functionality.

1. Information we collect

Website and contact information

When you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, message, and other information you provide. Hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, and timestamps.

Social account authorization information

If an authorized user connects a TikTok or other supported social account, we may process account identifiers, display name or username, granted permissions, authorization status, access and refresh tokens, token expiration information, publishing requests, media references, and delivery or publishing status.

Content and publishing information

We may process videos, images, captions, hashtags, thumbnails, scheduling information, platform selections, and other content supplied for authorized publishing.

2. How we use information

  • Operate, secure, and improve the website and publishing services.
  • Authenticate authorized social accounts and maintain requested connections.
  • Prepare, transfer, upload, or publish content as directed by an authorized user.
  • Monitor processing status, troubleshoot errors, and maintain operational records.
  • Respond to inquiries and comply with legal or platform requirements.

3. Service providers

We may use Cloudflare for DNS, security, hosting, and media delivery; GitHub for source-code hosting and deployment; Make for workflow automation; Airtable for operational records; Google Drive for file storage; and TikTok or other social platforms for account authorization and content delivery.

4. Tokens and credentials

Social platform tokens are treated as confidential credentials. We use server-side controls where available and do not intentionally publish tokens or client secrets in public files or repositories.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with providers as needed to operate the services, with a social platform at an authorized user’s direction, when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6. Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for operational, security, legal, and audit needs. Authorization records and tokens may be deleted or invalidated when an account is disconnected.

7. Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your interactions. You may revoke social account authorization through the applicable platform or by contacting us.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time.
