Terms of Service

Terms governing the ChicagoShining website and authorized publishing services.

These Terms govern your use of chicagoshining.com and ChicagoShining content-management or social-publishing functionality operated by Joseph Logan Digital.

1. Services

ChicagoShining provides travel and lifestyle content and may provide tools allowing authorized users to prepare, review, transfer, upload, or publish original content to connected social media accounts.

2. Eligibility and authority

You may connect or direct publishing to a social account only when you own the account or have sufficient authority from its owner.

3. Account authorization

Connections to TikTok and other platforms use authorization supplied by those platforms. You are responsible for reviewing requested permissions and maintaining account security.

4. User responsibilities

You agree not to infringe rights, publish unlawful or abusive content, bypass platform restrictions, distribute malware, interfere with services, or access accounts without authorization.

5. Content ownership

You retain ownership of content you lawfully provide and grant us limited permission to host, process, transform, transfer, and deliver it only as needed to provide requested services.

6. Third-party platforms

Integrations may include TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google, and others. Your use is also subject to their terms, policies, limits, and review processes.

7. Availability

We may update, suspend, or discontinue services and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, platform acceptance, publishing time, reach, or engagement.

8. Disclaimer

The services and website content are provided “as is” and “as available.” Travel information may change; independently confirm hours, access rules, prices, safety conditions, and availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChicagoShining and Joseph Logan Digital will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, revenue, platform access, or account access.

10. Termination

We may restrict or terminate access when these Terms, law, security requirements, or platform rules are violated.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Illinois law. Disputes will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Cook County, Illinois, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

12. Changes

We may revise these Terms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
